A Major Award!

Lürzer's Archive just announced that 24 of my images were selected for their 200 Best Ad Photographers Worldwide - although I’m showcasing only 7 here. To feature more felt a bit much, even for me, a Leo.

To say I was thrilled when I got the news is a vast understatement, as I was so excited I immediately told my whole family. My youngest daughter responded by saying, ”That’s great, Dad. I guess that means you’re a big deal on fairly irrelevant social media sites that falsely inflate egos, huh?” Wow. Where did that come from? My eldest daughter responded by saying, “I love you, Dad, but did you know that the world population is 7,584,145,542, so don’t act all high and mighty and stuff, okay?" Er, okay, Sweetie. And my wife responded by saying, “That’s great, Honey. But there's no prize money, right? You just paid them to enter the show, correct?” Sheesh. You girls are harsh.

But thank you anyway, Archive, for showering me with so many Major Awards, and giving me a beautiful delusional moment of basking in self-importance before my Icarus wings were clipped.
