Six months later, we were asked to photograph SWA's new livery for Tennessee. Agency: TBWA/Chiat/Day, Los Angeles.
Behind our tarmac was an airplane graveyard, and in it was this Phantom F4. Considered a "brick with wings" when it was first designed in the 50's, the F4 went on to become arguably one of the finest combat fighters of the 20th Century. Designed initially as an all-weather attack fighter, it quickly outclassed every other aircraft in the skies during its heyday, and played a pivotal role during the Vietnam War. I love stuff like this.
