Shiprock, New Mexico
On my way up from Albuquerque to Durango, I made a detour to photograph Shiprock. A sacred site to the Navajo, it is said to have the magical power of lifting the human soul above the problems of daily existence into the awareness of the great spirit. It did that for me, at least for a moment, and I needed it. Couldn't we all?
